This Privacy Policy explains how the Business Network, jointly managed by Repautomate (Pty) Ltd and Baki Bra (Pty) Ltd, collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information in compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

We collect business and limited personal information when you join the Business Network, including:

  • Name and surname

  • Business name and registration details

  • Contact information (email, phone, website, location)

  • Industry and services offered

Optional information may also be collected for participation in WhatsApp groups, events, workshops, or webinars.

3. Purpose of Collection

Your information is collected and processed solely for the following purposes:

  • Creating and maintaining a member directory accessible to other active members

  • Facilitating networking, referrals, and introductions

  • Communicating business opportunities, events, and workshops

  • Managing membership administration

Your information will not be sold or shared outside of the Business Network without your consent.

4. Sharing of Information

  • Active members’ details are made available to other active members through the central Business Network database.

  • Event organisers may receive limited details when you opt into events.

  • Third-party service providers such as Cognito Forms may act as Operators for hosting and processing data.

5. Security Safeguards

We use trusted third-party platforms, including Cognito Forms, to store member data. Reasonable organisational and technical safeguards are in place to protect against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. Cross-border data transfers will comply with POPIA requirements.

6. Data Retention

  • Data of active members is retained for as long as membership remains valid.

  • If you resign or are removed, your data will be deleted within 14 working days.

  • Backups or archives are securely destroyed after expiry.

7. Your Rights Under POPIA

As a data subject, you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you

  • Request corrections or updates to your information

  • Object to processing or request deletion (subject to membership requirements)

  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa
